Measuring Made Simple

To ensure the perfect fit for your space, accurate measurements are essential. You’ll need three dimensions:

1. Width: Add 3-4 inches to either side of the window opening.
2. Projection: Determine how far out from the house you desire. If these are egress windows, be sure to check your local building codes for requirements.
3. Height: We recommend going 2 inches above grade and 4 inches below the window itself. Each section of the square wells is 12 inches high. Should you require additional height, simply stack as many sections as necessary.

Assembly: Step-by-Step

1. Lay out the panels, ensuring you’ve correctly identified the left and right panels.
2. Align the holes on the top, bottom, and inside of one side panel with the corresponding holes in the front panel. Secure the bolts loosely with the nuts.
3. If you’re using a single 12-inch section, add the top bolts and secure them with the nuts. For multiple sections, follow the same procedure for each one.
4. Tighten all hardware securely before moving on.
5. Once assembled, lag the window well to the wall in the designated location using the lag holes drilled in the back tabs of the side panels.
