Galvannealed Square Window Wells

A more cost-effective version of our exclusive Modern Square Window Well. These window wells are constructed of 18-gauge galvannealed steel. This material undergoes a dual galvanization and annealing process, resulting in a grey satin finish. Unlike standard galvanized steel, it resists corrosion effectively, though it isn’t fully rust-proof. With this advanced protection, these window wells maintain their integrity for years.

Same great look as the Modern Square Window Well.

Less expensive.

Made of 18 gauge steel.

Galvannealed steel is not rust proof, but it is highly resistant to corrosion and can take many years to rust.

It comes in a grey colour, which can be easily painted. It's one of the single most paint-friendly steel forms out there.

In comparison to galvanized steel, the coating is harder and more brittle.

Galvannealed steel, also referred to as satin coat steel, is a type of sheet steel that goes through a dual process of galvanization and annealing.

Important Notice: Galvannealed Material Colour Variation

At EHS Sales, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products that meet your expectations. However, due to variations in the supply of Galvannealed material from our supplier, there may occasionally be differences in the colour of the material as well as irregularities such as abrasion marks. There’s a possibility that the sides and fronts pieces will be of a different shade of grey. We will do our best to match the pieces up prior to delivery.

While this variation is cosmetic and does not affect the structural integrity or performance of our products.

We appreciate your understanding and are committed to maintaining the high standards you expect from us. Should you have any questions or concerns about this, please don’t hesitate to contact our team.

Note

If you feel your window wells are damaged upon receipt, please review our damage policy and contact us with details.

Will galvannealed steel rust if you scratch it?

The galvanized steel layer can be weakened if scratched, chipped, or otherwise damaged. In such instances, the exposed steel might start to rust over time.

Follow these steps on how to measure and order your window well

Click through the sections below for details.

Step One: Measure

We need 3 dimensions to figure out well size:

  1. Width – we add 3-4″ to either side of the window opening.
  2. Projection – the distance out from the house you’d like. Keep in mind if these are egress windows. Each municipality has their own requirements. Be sure to verify your building codes for your area.
  3. Height – we go 2″ above grade, and 4″ below the window itself. Each section is 12” high for the square wells. You can stack as many sections as you need.

Available Dimensions

Front Width: 36″, 42″, 49″, 56″, 66″
Side Projection (depth): 12″, 18″, 24″, 30″, 36″
Side Height: 12″

Powder Coating Upgrade

EHS works with a local professional that completes powder coating at an extra charge. For this upgrade, the galvannealed square window wells are powder coat primed and powder coat painted in a matte black  or charcoal grey finish. The lead time for this service is on average one week.

The powder coating company wraps each piece individually, the EHS team does our best to protect them during shipping, but there is absolutely no guarantee that they arrive scratch free.
